Active

Associate
This category includes suppliers of products or services in the youth and travel market along with destination marketing organizations and convention and visitors bureaus as well as receptive operators.

Dual
This category includes companies that meet all the criteria of both an Active and an Associate member. This is typically a transportation company that is also a tour operator.

What is SYTA?

SYTA is the non-profit, professional trade association that promotes student & youth travel and seeks to foster integrity and professionalism among student and youth travel service providers. SYTA is "The Voice of Student and Youth Travel.®"

Why Student & Youth Travel?

Student travel is a $2 billion industry and represents 20% of all global tourism revenue. SYTA represents 1.5 million youth travelers annually.

What are the membership fees?

Active Membership + Annual Conference: $845.00

Active Membership (membership and enrollment): $895.00

Active Subsidiary Member Dues: $350.00
Active Member Annual Renewal: $595.00

Associate Membership + Annual Conference: $1,850.00

Associate Membership (membership and enrollment): $1,395.00
Associate Member Annual Renewal: $895.00

Dual Member Dues: $1,100.00

How do I know which member category I am?

Active Member: This member category includes tour operators, travel agencies, and wholly-owned subsidiaries of SYTA Active member companies.

Associate Member: This category includes suppliers of products or services in the youth and travel market along with destination marketing organizations and convention and visitors bureaus as well as receptive operators.

Dual Member: This category includes companies that meet all the criteria of both an Associate and an Active member. This is typically a transportation company that is also a tour operator.

How is my membership activated?

The membership process begins when one first submits an application. Once all of the membership criteria are met, the application is submitted for approval by the SYTA Board of Directors. The applicant is then notified once approved and receives their membership welcome packet.

Once my membership is activated, what is the next step?

First, you'll want to activate your member profile by visiting my.syta.org and click on “Member Login”.  Stay up-to-date by following SYTA on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Be sure to check your inbox every other Tuesday for your copy of e-SYTA News. Lastly, get to know our staff.

When does my membership expire?

Membership is active for one year from activation date.
