As you prepare your child for a group travel experience, there are several questions you should ask of your group leader, to give you peace of mind and confidence in the planning process.

• Ask for the phone and fax number(s) of the hotel(s) being used on your trip.
• Does the hotel(s) have 24-hour security?
• How many chaperones are accompanying the trip, and who are they?
• Exactly what is included in the price of the trip, and what additional costs should be expected?
• How is the safety of the participants ensured throughout the trip as the group travels throughout the destination?
• What precautions/plans are being put in place in case of an emergency?
• What type of communication can you expect leading up to the trip?
