Scholarships

Formed in the year 2000, the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) is the 501C(3) philanthropic sister organization of SYTA. The purpose of the Foundation is to create ongoing awareness and assistance programs for the direct benefit of youth. The SYTA Youth Foundation acts as a vehicle for the many volunteer resources and funding capabilities available from SYTA members, the student & youth travel industry, the educational community, and the public.

Running For Youth Program
The SYTA Youth Foundation Run Team uses long distance running/walking as a symbol of endurance and hope. The goal is simple—to raise money for youth to travel with their schools or youth organizations. Participants on the Run Team fundraise on behalf of the SYTA Youth Foundation, train, and participate in a marathon or half-marathon, and run in honor of a student who has been chosen to receive a Roads Scholarship. In exchange for participation, Run Team members receive round-trip airfare, lodging, and entry into the selected Marathon. Click here for more details.

Next Generation
Through our partnership with SeaWorld Entertainment, we have created a program that recognizes underprivileged youth who want to learn about conservation and wildlife habitats.  The students engage in both interactive and innovative learning experiences which will stay with them forever. For more information please contact the SYTA Youth Foundation.
