Membership Categories & Requirements

Membership in the Student & Youth Travel Association is composed of three categories - Active, Associate, and Allied.

1. Active: This member category includes tour operators, travel agencies, and wholly-owned subsidiaries of SYTA Active member companies.

2. International Affiliate:International Affiliate membership shall be available to any firm, entity, or corporation based outside of Canada or the United States, that conducts, arranges, markets, or provides any student/youth travel. International Affiliate members must comply with the membership criteria and requirements as established and amended from time to time by the Board of Directors.

3. Associate: This category includes suppliers of products or services in the youth and travel market along with Destination Marketing Organizations.

4. Allied: Allied membership is available to organizations and individuals on an honorary basis, by invitation of the SYTA Board of Directors.
